The Art Of Surrendering: Feeling Is The Secret 🌟

The Art Of Surrendering: Feeling Is The Secret 🌟

Michelangelo’s ‘The Creation of Adam’ has truly always captivated me—not just for its artistic brilliance, but for what it reveals about divinity, personal power, and manifestation. It is one of the most celebrated frescoes in history, often analyzed for its religious and artistic significance. But beyond its biblical roots, this image carries a message that speaks to something even more profound: the effortless nature of true creation and the divine potential within us all.

In the painting, God is depicted as an elderly, white-bearded figure, encased in a flowing, ethereal cloak, reaching toward Adam. Adam, already created yet seemingly inert, reclines in a relaxed posture. His hand extends toward God’s, but with barely any tension—his fingers are loose, his body at ease. He does not strain, grasp, or struggle to receive the divine spark.

One of the most striking aspects of the fresco is the shape formed by the fabric surrounding God and His angels. Many have noted its resemblance to the human brain—a subtle yet powerful suggestion that divinity is not external, separate, or distant. It is within us. Creation is not something we must beg for or chase; it is something we are inherently connected to.

This, to me, is the perfect metaphor for manifestation and our relationship to the divine.

This piece can serve to show us a different perspective. Adam does not clench his fist. He does not desperately grasp for God’s touch. His hand is open. He is relaxed. He does not force the connection—he allows it. And yet, he is not entirely passive. His single lifted finger represents a choice. A willingness. A quiet yet deliberate acknowledgment of his divine nature.

This single lifted finger, to me, symbolizes awareness, intention, and willingness. It represents the act of choosing to recognize our own power rather than passively waiting for it to be bestowed upon us.

This is where surrendering comes in. People hear the word and think of passivity, of giving up on their true heart's desire, of throwing their hands up and saying, “Fine, I guess it just wasn’t meant for me.”

But surrendering is not inaction. It is the highest form of trust.

It does not mean abandoning your desires. It means stepping back from feelings of distrust, doubt and lack, not because you don’t care, but because you care so much that you refuse to let fear dictate your reality.

In some ways, it's a declaration: I trust in my power. I trust that what I desire is already mine. I trust that I am guided. I do not need to force it into being—I only need to allow it.

It is knowing that both as a creator of your reality and a child of the universe, your desires are already yours in potential. The only thing required is your willingness to receive.

Surrendering to life is, ultimately, surrendering to a different part of your being— it’s giving power to the part of you that knows you are both a conscious and unconscious creator, to the part of you that recognizes you are not separate from the divine but an extension of it. It is embracing the truth that everything you seek is already within you, waiting to be realized.

Adam’s finger is a reminder that we do not need to excessively reach for what is already ours. Manifestation is not about wrestling with the universe to get what we want—it is about recognizing that we are the universe. The divine spark is within us, always

At what moment will we fully accept that we are one with creation? That we are not separate from the divine?

It is not an act of defeat. It is the most powerful thing we can do. It is faith in motion. Surrendering is allowing yourself to enjoy life, while trusting your unfolding. It is believing and thinking in your favour. It’s spending your days with the feeling of comfort and knowing that you can in fact truly be at peace and live in authenticity, gratitude, because you simply know things are working in your favour. It is stepping back, gently lifting a finger, and knowing that the spark of life—the manifestation of all we desire and beyond—is already reaching toward us. It is us.

Recognizing the Power You Already Hold

We spend so much of our lives believing that power is something outside of us—something we must chase, earn, or prove ourselves worthy of. But what if it’s the opposite? What if the real power has been within us all along, waiting to be acknowledged?

The truth is, you are not separate from the divine—you are the divine in orchestration . You are not a passive participant in life, waiting for the universe to hand you what you desire. You are the universe, constantly shaping and directing energy with your dominant thoughts, choices and beliefs.

Manifestation, then, is not about getting—it’s about allowing. It’s not about convincing some unseen force to give you what you want; it’s about stepping into the version of yourself who already has it. Your subconscious mind, energy, and faith are not separate forces—they are working together, always. When you stop treating your desires as something distant and start embodying them as if they are already yours, you shift from wishing to receiving.

The divine is not withholding from you. It is waiting for you to recognize that you have been the creator all along.

The Illusion Of Control , The Reality of Alignment

We’ve all done it—the obsessive and forced affirming, the endless scripting, the constant mental check-ins, as if tracking a long-awaited package from the universe. We micromanage our manifestations, convinced that if we don’t hold on tightly enough, they might slip through our fingers. And while scripting and visualizing are powerful tools for gaining clarity on what we desire—something I always encourage—I believe the real magic happens when we set our intention and simply stick to it. When we decide what we want, trust that it’s already ours, and then simply go about our lives with the quiet (or loud) confidence that the universe is already handling the rest. Need I remind you that you are the universe? Therefore trusting it, is merely trusting yourself.

The more you try to externally force something, the more internal resistance and turmoil you may create. You are quite literally telling yourself ‘I don’t have my desire’ when you consistently give yourself into and truly believe the doubts. The energy of desperation is telling you that you don’t have what you want yet—and so it reflects that reality right back to you. This is the difference between inspired action and control-based effort. Inspired action flows naturally, aligned with the belief that what you want is already on its way, that it is undeniably there and yours. Control-based effort, on the other hand, stems from fear—fear that if you don’t keep checking, tweaking, and forcing, everything will slip through your fingers.

But the truth is, fear-driven manifestation has never really been ideal or effective and can take an immense toll on your mental wellbeing. The Divine Avenue is always encouraging wellness and if one's idea of manifestation is to go through mental torture and neglecting their life that is meant to be wholeheartedly lived, we do not claim this as true manifestation guidance. The moment you stop gripping so tightly—the moment you surrender and believe— you truly create the space for everything to flow toward, or rather, from you effortlessly.

Living in the End: The Law of Assumption

Neville Goddard once stated; ‘Feeling is the secret’. He was damn right.

Being one of the great teachers of law of assumption, he often spoke of living in the end—stepping into the state of already having what you desire, long before it materializes in the physical world.

This is surrender in its most powerful form.

Think about it: when you know something is certain, you don’t obsess over it. You don’t pace back and forth questioning whether the sun will rise tomorrow. You simply know.

That is the energy we want to reside in when it comes to our dreams and desires.

When you assume the reality you desire is already yours, you don’t feel the need to chase it—you relax into it. You begin to think, feel, and move through the world as if it has already been delivered. Reality has no choice but to catch up with your assumption.

Whenever doubt creeps in, remind yourself that feeling is the true key. Would the version of you who already has their dream life move through the world feeling ungrateful, desperate, or uncertain? Would they constantly doubt themselves or their life's unfolding? Would they decide to put their negative self talk, anxieties or false beliefs above their mindset of growth, positivity, love and abundance? I’d bet not. You likely envision this version of yourself radiating confidence, fulfillment, and a sense of knowing—because that is the energy of someone who already has. Step into that feeling now, and watch as your reality aligns to match it.

Embodying the Mindset of Ease and Flow

Our definition of surrendering is a way of being. A mindset of ease. A state of trusting that life is in fact working for you, not against you.

A simple quote I admire from the beautiful Wizard Liz; 'God wants me to win'.

She has stated multiple times that she continuously repeats this affirmation, with true belief, whenever she is faced with any circumstance. This is her general and dominant belief. This is the mindset of someone who trusts in themselves, their god and their life.

So how do we actually embody this?

🌸 Release attachment to outcomes without losing faith. Hold your desires with open hands rather than clenched fists. You don’t have to let go of wanting—you just have to let go of needing.

🌸 Express gratitude for the present moment. When you focus on what’s good now, you create more to be grateful for. This is a signal to your very own brain that you are abundant. You have. Gratitude is an energetic magnet for abundance and simply a wonderful state to be in. Why wouldn’t you want to bathe in the state of gratitude?

🌸 Have faith that you, the universe or your god are in fact wanting you to win because it is simply a fact. Remember, you were placed on this earth to enjoy your life. To live life through love and abundance. Holding this belief truly makes life much more fulfilling. Give yourself some grace and move forward while truly believing that everything that has already happened, the present moment and everything that will be is in your favour.

🌸 Detach, but don’t disconnect. Letting go doesn’t mean losing interest in your desires—it means trusting them enough to stop fixating on when but especially how they’ll arrive. Detach from 'unfavourable circumstances' by viewing them as what they are: temporary!

At its core, surrendering is not about relinquishing control—it is about realizing you never had to fight for it in the first place. It is not about forcing creation, but remembering that you already are the creator.

And just like Adam, the moment you stop overextending yourself, the moment you stop grasping, the moment you perhaps simply lift a finger in faith—everything you’ve been seeking will finally meet you

In other words, my angels, live your life through your very own truth, faith and philosophy. Enjoy it deeply but always remember you are the god of your reality. You have a say in your successes. You are divine & you are entirely safe to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that what you desire is already yours. Knowing that you are already whole.

With all my heart,

Venus.
